From the output we can conclude that household chaos significantly predicted younger sibling’s problem behaviour over and above maternal parenting, child age and gender, t(88) = 2.091, p = 0.039. The positive standardized beta value (0.218) indicates that there is a positive relationship between household chaos and child’s problem behaviour. In other words, the higher the level of household chaos, the more problem behaviours the child displayed. The value of 𝑅2 (0.110) tells us that household chaos accounts for 11% of the variance in child problem behaviour.
